What’s new in Civil 3D 2013

Pressure Networks
AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013 features pressure pipe modelling tools, enabling you to: create and distribute pipe; add fitting and appurtenance content; model pressure networks in 2D and 3D; and use 3D pressure networks for interference checking.

Survey
AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013 features a number of new capabilities that streamline survey workflows for civil engineering projects resulting in greater flexibility. You can query survey data for the creation of Civil 3D surfaces, point groups and drafted survey figures. Usability improvements enable you to label survey figures, label between two graphical points and control line type display.

Transportation
Beyond a variety of scalability and performance improvements for civil engineering projects, AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013 offers a streamlined workflow for creating corridor models. Enhancements include usability improvements for creating and editing corridor assemblies and the inclusion of Autodesk® Subassembly Composer for AutoCAD® Civil 3D®. Additionally, AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013 extends alignment and corridor modelling capabilities to include rail-specific design and analysis capabilities. These include rail cant, rail alignment "type", chord-based alignments and rail subassembly content.

Document designs more accurately using co-ordinated and consistent information inherent in the intelligent models. 

Two products are available for structural engineering:

• Autodesk Revit 2013, a comprehensive solution containing the functionality of Autodes Revit Architecture 2013, Autodesk Revit MEP 2013 and Autodesk Revit Structure 2013 software, available in the Autodesk Building Design Suite Premium and Ultimate editions.
• Autodesk Revit Structure 2013, a stand-alone application.

The Autodesk Building Design Suite Premium & Ultimate editions include Revit Structure & a host of other software including NAVISWORKS - Project review software that help engineering and construction professionals to gain control over project outcomes. Integrate, share and review models and multi-format data with all of your project stakeholders. It provides a comprehensive set of integration, analysis and communication tools which helps teams to co-ordinate disciplines, resolve conflicts and plan projects more effectively before construction or renovation begins. Navisworks supports Building Information Modelling (BIM) for building and infrastructure. The Ultimate edition of Autodesk Building Design Suite also includes Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional - Thi software provides structural engineers with advanced building analysis capabilities for large and complex structures. The structural analysis software offers a smoother workflow and interoperability with Autodesk Revit Structure software to extend the Building Information Modelling (BIM) process, enabling engineers to perform comprehensive analysis of a variety of structures more quickly.
