At Diatec group we recognise that while there are many similarities between all AEC sectors when looking at BIM and digital engineering processes, we also understand that there are differences. Some of these differences for Contractors are distinct benefits, such as using the 3D model for buildability reviews and site inductions. Other differences are unique challenges, for example keeping the BIM model up to date for handover is a new, and often unpaid, skill set.
